After taking your Afinia 3D Printer out of the box, the first thing you will need to do is attach the filament spool holder. We will cover how to do this in the following article.
We found the 3D printer spool holder along with the hex wrenches needed to install it in the accessory pack. With the left side of the 3D printer facing us, we used the medium-sized wrench and unscrewed the MIDDLE right screw from the left side of the 3D printer. With the bottom of the holder resting on the front edge of the printer and the top of the holder mounted over the top of the upper left screw, we replaced the MIDDLE screw through the hole on the spool holder and into the hole from which it had been removed.
We slid the filament spool onto the holder, with the filament unwinding clockwise and coming up from the bottom. Then we ran the filament through the clip found on the top of the spool holder. Next, we fed the filament through the Filament Guide Tube (Item #7 in the accessory pack) until about 4 inches was protruding out of the opposite end of the filament guide tube. Finally, the end of the filament was inserted into the hole at the top of the extruder head.
