Harold Ramis, the celebrated writer, director and actor, has passed away. Ramis was known for such cult classic films as “Ghostbusters,” “Caddyshack,” “Groundhog Day,” and “National Lampoon’s Animal House,” among many others. His work has been a major influence for comedies and comedians.

His wife stated that Ramis' serious health struggles began in May 2010 with an infection that led to complications related to the autoimmune disease. “Ramis had to relearn to walk but suffered a relapse of the vasculitis in late 2011,” said Laurel Ward, Vice President of Development at Ramis' Ocean Pictures production company.

His agent stated that Ramis passed away on February 24th, 2014 at the age of 69 from complications of a rare vascular disease. Ramis was surrounded by family during his last moments. Ramis’ humor and talent will be sorely missed.

To celebrate the life and accomplishments of Harold Ramis, who played Dr. Egon Spengler in “Ghostbusters,” we have found Ghostbuster 3D printables on Thingiverse. You can 3D print a proton pack, ghost trap, or cookie cutters as an homage to Ramis. Now that Ramis is gone, watching Ghostbusters won’t be the same.
