American car builder Rezvani is using a 3D printer to manufacture certain parts of the Rezvani Beast—such as the headlight buckets, tail lights, and mirrors—to keep the supercar more affordable. Rezvani says the Beast was designed for a far more affordable price point—$120,000 for the base price. “We wanted to keep the costs low,” he said. “Our profit margins are small, but our goal was to make it appealing to the average auto enthusiast.”
The Beast is based on the chassis of the Ariel Atom and adds a light-weight, carbon-fiber body. Atom’s 500 horsepower four-cylinder engine, both super-charged and turbo-charged, and 6-speed manual transmission will power the car to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds.
